PAMCO “PK” Lipseal Fittings The F-15E Molecular Sieve Oxygen Generating System (MSOGS) requires that the system meet stringent leakage requirements. During initial implementation of MSOGS, it was determined that the standard AN fittings were inadequate to provide proper sealing capability. MDA-E and Litton-ILSD requested that PAMCO design and develop a “standard” fitting that could meet the system’s leakage requirements. PAMCO developed and tested at 37 degree lipseal fitting that surpassed the required system leakage rates. Mass spectrometer tests have established that the “PK” series reduces leakage levels to 9.03 X 10-8 CC/SEC helium at 600 psig and 6.09 X 10-8 CC/SEC helium at 800 psig. The team effort eliminated the reliance on proprietary items and allowed both companies to issue their own standards, creating competitive pricing and on-time deliveries. Quality Forgings Available From PAMCO PAMCO maintains a large inventory of high-quality forgings as raw material for its products. These forgings are available for sale in a variety of materials and configurations for subsequent machining. Certifications and test reports are available for each lot of forgings. PAMCO FAA-PMA PAMCO holds a “Parts Manufacturer Approval,” or PMA, on a number of fittings in a variety of sizes. PMA fittings are identical to those furnished by OEM’s. PAMCO PMA fittings are available in a variety of materials and are usually less expensive and more readily available that OEM products. All PAMCO PMA fittings have been rigorously tested and approved by the Federal Aviation Administration and, more recently, by the Society of Automotive Engineers.
